DR. Eriko Nakano

Medical Adviser

Dr. Nakano brings over two decades of leadership experience from Japan’s most prestigious cancer institutions, including the National Cancer Center Tokyo and St.Luke’s International Hospital, where she served as Associate Director of the Oncology Center for 15 years. She began her medical career in both the United Status and Japan, gaining a unique cross-cultural clinical perspective from the outset.
Her track record in clinical excellence, team management, and innovation in patient care has earned her a strong reputation in both public and private healthcare sectors.
With hands-on experience across international hospitals and a deep understanding of Japan’s world-class medical infrastructure, she joined Miup to scale Japanese healthcare innovation to global markets- bringing the highly efficient clinical standards with emerging healthcare needs worldwide.

Kumiko Furukawa

 Microbiologist & Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Kumiko  is a microbiologist and clinical laboratory scientist with hands-on experience at Niigata University Medical and Dental Hospital. Currently a faculty member at Niigata University of Health and Welfare, she specializes in teaching and research on tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria diagnostics.

Beyond academia, Kumiko actively supports the introduction of Japanese diagnostic standards in Bangladesh. She provides expertise in laboratory operations, quality assurance, and the development of advanced molecular testing systems. By combining research-driven knowledge with practical implementation, Kumiko is dedicated to building sustainable and scientifically robust diagnostic infrastructure. Her work not only strengthens healthcare services but also fosters innovative solutions and long-term investment in global health.

 Md. Shaheed Amin Biplab

Assistant Lab Manager

Md. Shaheed Amin Biplab is a dedicated Assistant Manager and Medical Technologist with nearly nine years of comprehensive experience in laboratory operations and management. His expertise spans staff supervision, operational management, quality control protocols, and budget oversight. He is highly skilled in analyzing biological specimens across hematology, biochemistry, and immunology, with proficiency in operating advanced diagnostic instruments. A key highlight of his career includes supervising a ‘Sustainable Development Goal’ health project under JICA. Shaheed holds a Master of Science in Microbiology from Jagannath University and is committed to upholding high clinical standards and enhancing laboratory efficiency.
